VFS Vertical Dropgate Casepacker
The VFS simple operation consists of a collating system via a pull nose conveyor. Specifically, the bags can be collated either back-to-back or shingled and are located in a buffer station. An upstream bag conditioning system is responsible for the tight collation of the bags inside the case. To complement this operation, a back seal control offers high security for detecting, and rejecting, open vertical seals. The pull nose conveyor also takes care of the exact positioning of the bags regardless of weight or length. After the buffer station, the bags are then placed into the case through a double gate opening that minimizes the drop distance and also creates the necessary buffer for case exchanges. Additional
features of the VFS are its turning belts and automatic size adjustment
as well as integrated controls with a Rovema Bagger. Furthermore, due
to its compact design and layout flexibility, the infeed and discharge
directions can be freely chosen during the VFS design, thus allowing a
smoother integration to an existing layout. The VFS can handle maximum
case sizes of 600 mm x 600 mm x 400 mm and can be accessed from all sides
for easy maintenance. The VFS comes with Allen Bradley ControlLogix operator
controls. and can operate as a stand alone machine or integrated with
other ROVEMA machines into a complete integrated line.
