Until now, coffee beans have been packed in classic PET/aluminium composite packaging materials due to their high barrier requirements. The tested polypropylene packaging material offers excellent aroma protection in combination with a fat, oil and oxygen barrier and can be fully recycled as a mono packaging material. Additional light protection through metallization is available as an option.
