Sustainable packaging materials in the application test

Protect products, preserve the environment and package efficiently

Finding the right packaging material for a product is rarely possible without the manufacturers of the packaging materials and their sound expertise. ROVEMA carries out more than 120 packaging material tests in its technology center every year in close cooperation with customers and packaging material suppliers. At this point we publish current application examples.

Our offer: The expected output rate depends on the machinability of the packaging material, its sealing ability and its friction properties. But how does the selected packaging material perform with your product in the desired packaging unit and bag shape? We test the machine processing for you in the context of the overall application and, if desired, with different dosing units. Find the perfect sustainable packaging material for your products with us.

Highspeed paper for short cut pasta and pulses

No compromises in output performance when processing alternative packaging materials! The tested kraft paper has excellent machinability and is particularly suitable for high-speed pillow bag applications.

Short cut pasta and pulses in thinnest paper

The packaging of short pasta products with paper requires high tear and puncture resistance and a water vapour barrier. The tested paper packaging material meets these requirements even with a thickness of only 75µm.

Short cut pasta

The packaging of short cut pasta products with paper requires high tear and puncture resistance and a water vapor barrier. The tested paper packaging material with PLA film as sealing medium meets these requirements and consists of 100% renewable raw materials.

Sugar and basic muesli

The packaging of crystal sugar or basic muesli does not require any special barrier properties. A basic insect protection and a slight water vapour barrier are given with the selected 70g paper. Provided with a partial seal coating, this packaging material can be easily disposed of via the regional paper collection.

Baked goods and chocolates

The packaging of high-quality baked goods and chocolates has been a particular challenge for product handling and feeding up to now. ROVEMA has a firm grip on these areas, e.g. with conveyor filling, and is now able to produce stable outer packaging made of paper for baked goods in flow packs or high-quality chocolates.
